1/24 SuperGT 2014 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT500

SuperGT (former known as JGTC) is a GT serious race held by JAF in Japan. It is already 21st season since 1993. This year, technical regulations had significantly revised such that SuperGT can be unified with DTM.

NISMO have introduced their new racing machine in mid of 2013. As we can see below, NISMO is still using R35 GT-R as their base.

2013 machine:

About my project, I used FUJIMI R35 GT-R to start with. First step I cut off the bottom part of the body from the front wheel to rear wheel. Base on the real car, the bottom of the body is replaced by dedicated aerodynamic parts.

I used styrene sheet to build the under tray and side skirt of the body.

The trimmed body shell is placed at the correct position with the base.

Wheel arc is trimmed accordingly.

Two sides of the rear section were cut to fit the aerodynamic parts (diffuser?).

This component would be glued at the bottom rear.

Rear wheel fenders were in position.
